The core of art song singing lies in the integration of technique and emotion, where breath serves as the fundamental technical element and emotion constitutes the intrinsic artistic pursuit. This paper takes Jinse—a classical poetry art song with lyrics by Li Shangyin and music composed by Wang Long—as the research object. Based on the theoretical knowledge of music aesthetics and vocal performance, it conducts an analysis by virtue of the song’s profound classical literary connotations, aiming to explore the integration of "technique" and "aesthetics" in vocal works. Through an analysis of the musical form structure, melodic features and emotional keynote of Jinse, the paper mainly examines the division of breath pauses, the regulation of breath intensity, as well as the expression dimensions of emotional aesthetics such as melancholy and profundity. It is intended to address the disconnection between technique and emotion in art song singing, and provide a reference for the singing practice and aesthetic research of art songs.
