This article explores the symbiotic relationship and revitalization path between ancient buildings and local folk culture in Shanxi. It analyzes the artistic characteristics of ancient buildings in terms of structure, decoration, and historical layers, as well as the basic features of the diverse integration of folk culture, revealing the integration mechanism of the two through spatial, technical, and narrative depth. The research shows that this integration significantly strengthens local cultural identity and provides core impetus for the integration of culture and tourism as well as sustainable development. Finally, systematic protection and development suggestions are proposed from the perspectives of system, technology, community, and industry, aiming to provide reference for the contemporary inheritance and innovative utilization of cultural heritage.
