With the deepening development of the digital economy, data as a production factor has become a core driver of industrial transformation and upgrading. As a key link in the healthcare sector’s digital transformation, hospital informatization still faces challenges such as insufficient data value extraction and weak security safeguards. Guided by practical needs and drawing on theories of data-element activation and the protection of critical information infrastructure, this paper analyzes current gaps in hospitals’ data management, system security, and service efficiency. It then proposes a data-element-centered pathway for informatization that includes building a standardized data system, strengthening information security defenses, and creating smart-healthcare service scenarios. Through practical exploration, the goal is to enhance hospital operational efficiency and the quality of medical services, providing a reference for the high-quality development of healthcare in the context of the digital economy.
