Practical Research on Embedding Occupational Health Protection Education into Secondary Vocational Professional Courses from the Perspective of Health‑Oriented Education —— A Case Study of Gucheng Secondary Vocational Education Center School

Abstract

Vocational education delivers skilled talents for front‑line industries. While receiving training with various practical‑training equipment at school, students will also be exposed to diverse occupational hazards after they step into future jobs. Occupational health literacy has become an indispensable comprehensive quality for secondary vocational students. Based on the concept of health‑oriented education, occupational health protection content should go beyond campus safety lectures and be deeply integrated into daily professional teaching activities. Taking Gucheng Secondary Vocational Education Center School as the research object, this paper conducts questionnaire surveys and field interviews to obtain first‑hand data according to the teaching reality of majors including electromechanics, numerical control, automobile maintenance and nursing. It analyzes practical obstacles in implementing occupational health protection education within courses, sorts out school‑based attempts, and explores feasible integration approaches for county‑level secondary vocational schools. It also provides practical references for peer institutions to carry out health‑oriented education.
