The contradictory movement between productive forces and relations of production constitutes an important theoretical thread for understanding the laws governing the development of human society. Historical materialism reveals that productive forces are the most active and revolutionary element driving social progress, and that their development constitutes a fundamental criterion for assessing social development; at the same time, relations of production exert an important influence on productive forces. The evolution of human social formations is not a mechanical process driven unilaterally by productive forces, but rather a historical process that unfolds through the interaction between productive forces and relations of production, between the economic base and the superstructure, and through the social practice of the people. During a particular historical period, the capitalist mode of production broke through the constraints of personal dependence and geographical limitations characteristic of feudal society, promoted large-scale socialized production, market expansion, and scientific and technological progress, and greatly advanced the development of social productive forces. However, as the socialization of production has continued to deepen, the fundamental contradictions of capitalism, together with a series of economic and social problems arising from the logic of capital accumulation and expansion, have become increasingly evident. The lofty ideal of communism is founded on a scientific understanding of the laws governing the development of human society. It cannot be reduced simply to a static scheme of distribution or a single mode of production; rather, it represents a lofty social ideal based on highly developed productive forces and profound progress in social relations, and is characterized by great material abundance, a significantly elevated intellectual and moral level of the people, and the free and all-round development of human beings. The realization of communism is a long-term historical process. At the present stage, it is essential to proceed from the basic national condition that China remains in the primary stage of socialism, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, adhere to a people-centered development philosophy, continue to liberate and develop the productive forces, promote high-quality development, steadily advance common prosperity for all, and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through Chinese modernization, thereby continuously creating more favorable social conditions for the realization of the lofty ideal of communism.
