Without spirit, a person cannot stand firm; without spirit, a nation cannot be strong. The spiritual lives of college students face potential crises due to negative impacts from online subcultures and the adverse effects of diversified spiritual symbols. Guiding students' spiritual growth through education on ideals and convictions, and activating the driving force behind their spiritual development, are crucial safeguards against “spiritual alienation” and the “spiritual desertification” plaguing young minds.
