Research on the Path of Integrating the History of Red Finance into Curriculum-Based Ideological and Political Education of Finance Programs in Higher Vocational Colleges

Abstract

The history of red finance bears witness to the century-long exploration of the financial cause led by the Communist Party of China, embodying the red gene and core values of finance for the people, serving the real economy, and guarding against risks. Integrating the history of red finance into the curriculum-based ideological and political education of finance programs in higher vocational colleges is an important path for implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and cultivating high-caliber technical and skilled personnel. On the basis of clarifying the connotation and extension of the history of red finance, this paper systematically expounds the value implications of such integration: advancing value shaping along the red orientation, implementing knowledge transmission through professional teaching, and strengthening capability cultivation along the historical thread. In response to the triple dilemma in current finance teaching in higher vocational colleges, namely the disconnection between ideological and political education and professional teaching, teachers' insufficient transformation capability, and the lack of implementation carriers, this paper systematically constructs integration pathways around the five key teaching elements of programs, courses, textbooks, teachers, and internships and practical training. Taking program development as the lead, it builds a curriculum-based ideological and political education system featuring a main line running through and four progressive stages, and transforms red finance elements into professional workplace behaviors. This study aims to transform the history of red finance from historical knowledge into professional identity, and from ideological and political materials into position capabilities, providing theoretical reference and practical schemes for cultivating new-era financial talents with integrity, compliance awareness, and digital financial literacy.
