To address the problems existing in traditional teaching of higher vocational SPSS data analysis courses, such as outdated teaching methods, insufficient student initiative, and the lack of authentic project carriers, this paper proposes a project-driven teaching model based on "Teacher-Student-Machine" ternary collaboration. The model takes real sales data from a cooperating enterprise as the project carrier running through six modules, restructures the course content according to the workflow of data analysis, and constructs a trinity teaching framework of "project layer–collaboration layer–objective layer", realizing a ternary collaborative closed loop of "teacher guidance–student inquiry–machine assistance". Teaching practice shows that the model effectively improves students' comprehensive data analysis ability and awareness of data integrity, with particularly significant improvements in dimensions such as teamwork and human-machine collaboration, as well as autonomous learning and proactive inquiry. This paper also reflects on the problems exposed in practice, including the tendency of AI dependence and uneven questioning abilities, and proposes corresponding optimization strategies, in order to provide reference for the teaching reform of data analysis software courses in higher vocational education.
