Abstract

With the deepening of the "Belt and Road" initiative, the scale of international Chinese education in Thailand has continued to expand, but teaching conflicts caused by cultural differences between China and Thailand have become increasingly prominent. Taking the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce as an example, this study adopts mixed research methods to deeply explore the specific impact of Thai Buddhist values and social hierarchy on Chinese teaching based on intercultural communication theories. The study finds that there are significant conflicts between the two sides in language taboos, non-verbal behaviors, and teaching evaluation concepts, which restrict teaching effectiveness. In response to these problems, this study proposes systematic strategies including localization of textbooks, optimization of teachers' cross-cultural error correction strategies, and a "dual-track adaptation" mechanism, aiming to provide theoretical references and practical paths for improving the quality of Chinese teaching in Thailand.
