In view of the practical difficulties of the traditional teaching mode in primary school basketball training, such as the lack of interest and the separation of learning and application, this paper systematically discusses the application of PBL model in primary school basketball teaching combined with the concept of physical education curriculum centered on student development in the new era. The research demonstrates its feasibility from three aspects: theory, reality, and academic situation, constructs a five-stage circular teaching model framework, and designs the "We are the champions!" Class Basketball Challenge", and the teaching process of eight lessons was designed in detail. This paper also analyzes important teaching strategies such as teacher role transformation, learning scaffold supply, and safe environment creation, and finds implementation problems such as classroom time contradictions, teacher ability reconstruction, student skill differences, and lack of evaluation resources. It provides a theoretical basis and practical reference for the scientific application of PBL in primary school basketball teaching, and promotes the development of students' skills, cognition and cooperation.
