Abstract

Mao Zedong's poetry, born in the era of war, fully preserves the struggle scenes of the Agrarian Revolution, the Long March, and the Anti-Japanese War. As an organic component of the text, the poetry titles serve as a key carrier that carries revolutionary narratives and connects history and literature. This paper takes various poetry titles from this period as the core research object, combines revolutionary historical materials with textual analysis to complete the classification of poetry titles, sorts out the evolution of poetry titles in different stages such as Jinggangshan, the Long March, and Yan'an, explains how poetry titles rely on two paths of documentary annotation and emotional expression to carry complete revolutionary narratives, and reveals the inherent connection between the changes in poetry title creation, revolutionary practice, and the spiritual realm of the author. The article systematically explores the diverse academic values of poetry titles in terms of textual criticism and textual interpretation, fully demonstrating its dual attributes of historical record and literary expression. Taking poetry titles as a starting point for specialized research can enrich the interpretation of Mao Zedong's poetry and provide a new analytical perspective for exploring the expression paradigm of revolutionary narratives in red literature.
