This paper systematically reviews the five developmental stages of China's Cultural Property Exchanges (CPEs) since their inception and conducts an in-depth analysis of the root causes behind the industry irregularities that emerged during their growth. To address challenges in future development, this study proposes a comprehensive framework: enhancing legal regulations, elevating industry and professional entry standards, strengthening risk management mechanisms, safeguarding investor interests, and embracing digital transformation through diversifying tradable assets and collaborative models. These recommendations aim to foster institutionalization and professionalization within the CPE sector.
