Abstract

With the in-depth implementation of the "Healthy China" strategy and the increasingly prominent social demand for mental health, reading therapy, as an auxiliary psychological intervention method integrating prevention, development and treatment functions, has received unprecedented attention in the academic and practical fields of library science. University libraries, with their rich literature resources, stable student and teacher groups, and educational mission, have become important positions for providing reading therapy services and strengthening the mental health defense line of students. However, the depth and effectiveness of the professionalization of the service fundamentally depend on the professionalization level of the reading therapy librarian team. Based on the theoretical perspective of professional development, this article deeply analyzes the core role of reading therapy librarians in colleges and universities, the composition of their compound abilities, as well as the main predicaments they are currently facing in cultivation and management. On this basis, a full-chain professional cultivation system covering "precise seedling selection - systematic talent cultivation - scientific management - effective empowerment" has been systematically constructed, and a management innovation model including matrix teams, embedded services, intelligent platforms and cross-border collaboration has been proposed. This research aims to provide theoretical references and practical paths for university libraries to forge a professional team of reading therapy that "understands psychology, is proficient in literature, good at service, and capable of research", thereby promoting the transformation of reading therapy services from spontaneous and scattered to scientific and systematic, and deeply integrating them into the overall situation of moral education and mental health education in universities.
